For the Love of a Linguaphile v.95

Pillow fight

bellicose adj. [ˈbe-li-ˌkōs]: having or showing a tendency to argue or fight (via)

After a few drinks, Noah's bellicose behavior began to anger the other patrons and caused the owner to ask him to leave.

Even though it's St. Patrick's Day and there are probably bar fights aplenty, I'd like to advocate the pillow fight, which is a much friendlier, much more pleasant 'fight' that leaves everyone, at most, feeling frustrated as they pull all of the feathers out of their hair.

Happy St. Patty's Day - enjoy it (and do so safely)!

For the Love of a Linguaphile is a weekly series celebrating the snazzy words we encounter, from those found in great literary works, to those pesky words that keep popping up in everyday life. Hopefully you can incorporate a new word into your vocabulary, or even share one of your favorite words!
